My email forwarding from Microsoft Office 365/Outlook stopped working. How do I fix this?

Did Office 365/Outlook stop forwarding your emails into Re:amaze? Or are you seeing the error: Remote Server returned '550 5.7.520 Access denied, Your organization does not allow external forwarding. Please contact your administrator for further assistance. AS(7555)'?

Effective September 2020, Microsoft will automatically filter External Forwarding by default. Please see more here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/office-365-security/configure-the-outbound-spam-policy under the section "Expand Automatic forwarding". You will need to disable this security feature in order for emails to be forwarded to Re:amaze.

Here are some steps to fix this:

  1. Make sure you're an admin of your Microsoft account and sign into Office 365 Security & Compliance.
  2. Expand Outbound Spam Filter Policy and select Edit Policy.               image
  3. Click into the Automatic Forwarding menu, and select On-Forwarding is enabledfrom the dropdown menu.image
  4. Save your changes, and you're all set to forward emails into Re:amaze from Office 365!
