Email Forwarding from Gmail and Google Apps

Connect Gmail Email Forwarding to Re:amaze

Connecting an email channel is the first step in setting up Re:amaze. To receive customer emails in your inbox, you also need to set up email forwarding so messages sent to your support address are delivered to Re:amaze.

Before you begin

If you haven’t created an email channel yet, go to Settings > Email Channels and select Add New Channel.
If the channel already exists, select Connect to External Email.

Re:amaze automatically creates a mailbox address for the channel (for example, [support@yourbrand.reamaze.com](mailto:support@yourbrand.reamaze.com)). This is the address your emails will be forwarded to.

Start the forwarding setup in Re:amaze

  1. Select Connect My Email Address.
  2. Enter your existing support email address (for example, [support@acme.com](mailto:support@acme.com)).
  3. Copy the Re:amaze channel address shown on the screen. You’ll need it in the next step.
  4. Select Next.

Note: You can send and receive emails through the Re:amaze address, but customers will only see your support email address.

Troubleshooting

If forwarding fails:

  • Make sure Gmail is set to forward a copy of incoming mail.
  • Confirm that Disable Forwarding is not selected.

If emails are not arriving:

  • Gmail does not forward messages routed to the Promotions or Social tabs.
  • To forward all emails to Re:amaze, disable these tabs and use only the primary inbox.
