When using certain aspects of Re:amaze, you may be receiving Personally Identifiable Information from your customers or site visitors. When these visitors are from the EU (European Union) or EEA (European Economic Area) they're protected by various regulations governing the treatment and consent to retain that data. There are many ways that Re:amaze will collect this data, depending on your usage of Re:amaze. For example, Reamaze.js (which powers the Embeddables) will be one channel of data collection. Another example would be your connected email channels.
Please note that one of the requirements in the DPA is that you obtain consent from customers to collect their data. Because of the broad variety of possible use cases and situations, we can't specifically advise on how consent should be obtained, but we recommend consult your legal advisor to determine the applicable laws and regulations that may apply to your business.
If you are unable to obtain consent, or a customer no longer wants their data stored in your account, simply open the contact profile, then click "Delete" located under "User Settings." Deleting a contact will not delete the conversations associated with that contact. Instead, those conversations will be associated with "someone." Should a customer want all of their conversations removed as well, you can delete their conversations from the contact profile page before deleting them as a contact.
