What is Re:amaze's GDPR policy?

When using certain aspects of Re:amaze, you may be receiving Personally Identifiable Information from your customers or site visitors. When these visitors are from the EU (European Union) or EEA (European Economic Area) they're protected by various regulations governing the treatment and consent to retain that data. There are many ways that Re:amaze will collect this data, depending on your usage of Re:amaze. For example, Reamaze.js (which powers the Embeddables) will be one channel of data collection. Another example would be your connected email channels.

Because of the nature of how Re:amaze collects information, we're considered a "data processor" in the most common situations and you're considered the "data controller". Our terms of service includes a Data Processing Amendment (DPA) that addresses the treatment of your customers' data. You should review our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Amendment. These are formal agreements and are a condition of your continued use of Re:amaze. If, for any reason, you feel that you can no longer comply with the agreements, please reach out to us or terminate your Re:amaze service.

Please note that one of the requirements in the DPA is that you obtain consent from customers to collect their data. Because of the broad variety of possible use cases and situations, we can't specifically advise on how consent should be obtained, but we recommend consult your legal advisor to determine the applicable laws and regulations that may apply to your business.
