Add External URLs to Your AI Agent's Knowledge Base

The AI Agent uses a variety of knowledge sources you provide to answer customer questions. One of those sources is external URLs, which allow the AI Agent to reference information that lives outside of your Re:amaze FAQ. You can add up to 20 external URLs to your AI Agent's knowledge base.

What is an external URL?

An external URL is a publicly accessible web page that contains information relevant to your customers. Examples include:

  • Product documentation
  • Shipping or return policy pages
  • Blog posts or educational content
  • Any other publicly accessible page relevant to your customers

Add external URLs to your AI Agent

  1. Navigate to AI > Manage Bots > Custom AI Context.
  2. Scroll down to the Single Page URLs for AI Context section.
  3. Enter up to 20 accessible URLs.
  4. Select Submit.

Benefits of Using External URLs

  • More Accurate Answers: The AI Agent has a wider range of information to draw from, resulting in more precise and relevant responses to customer inquiries.
  • More Targeted Responses: With expanded context, the AI Agent is better equipped to provide highly relevant and specific answers, reducing instances where it might otherwise offer general or unhelpful information.
  • Dynamic Knowledge Base: You can easily update knowledge by simply changing the content on the linked URLs. The AI Agent will periodically re-scrape these pages, ensuring its information stays current without needing to manually update Re:amaze FAQ articles.

Important Considerations for URLs

  • URLs must be public and accessible without a login. The AI Agent cannot access content behind authentication, paywalls, or restricted networks.
  • The AI Agent only scrape the content from the single page URL you provide. It will not crawl through links on the provided URL (no site-wide crawling).
